    Hi all,

I have a 21ft trailer I am thinking of refurbing. Has wooden sides at the moment, if I was was to go to steel would I get away with 2mm (rib spacings are 20") or would I need 3mm?

Have you a vernier? Next time you are at a mart, hop up on a few lorries and measure what they have.

the cow ****e eats into the steel fairly handy so with a mm gone it'd be handy for a hoof to go through.
if it wasnt near dung i'd say 2 , but as it is i'd go 3.
get t and g floor boards an 1" thick? cheap as chips!

would you not go with aluminium, its not as dear as everyone reckons and a fair bit lighter than steel. if its for the floor id still like to lay a run of treated boards first and lay the sheeting on top.

Hi poster, just wondering how your job turned out? Just bought a 20 ft Looby trailer needing a floor but haven't decided whether to go steel or aluminium yet.
