How to prevent frown lines

My philosophy so far as been to ignore any advertised creams claiming anti aging, etc, and to just eat very healthy, exercise... with the idea that I can nourish the skin from the inside out. I know this will be enough to keep my skin young and healthy, but regardless of this, there is nothing a good diet can do to stop frown lines forming every time we smile, frown, or squint our eyes.

Are there any known preventative measures that can stop these frown lines from deepening? It's easy enough to stop yourself from frowning on a daily basis, but our eyes always squint when we laugh. And of all the wrinkles we get, I suppose it's the ones around the eyes that are the worst!! I just heard of frownies. But do they actually work? The thing is I sing a lot, which involves me opening my mouth wide for difficult notes, which I fear may cause deep marionette lines.

Because, once frown lines they get deep, they're there forever. Even plastic surgury could not make you the same again. But apart from what I've mentioned, do you know of any preventative measure

Not to be funny op, but the best preventative measure is to prevent yourself worrying about them. Everyone gets wrinkles- everyone. If you are drinking water, cleansing and moisturising, and wearing an SPF suncream (either independently or in your moisturiser) you probably won't get more than the usual amount of wrinkles and expression lines. I prefer to say expression lines because it's not just frowning- it's smiling, talking, singing, and all the rest that 'causes' them.

Sorry if that's not an answer you were wanting, but (and I'm being 100% honest here) people who are obviously over the age of about 25 who don't have some expression lines freak me out. Genuinely.

Blah blah blah. It's amazing how people can fool themselves into thinking that they are okay with growing old. No one wants to get old. We all hate those lines on our face

Wow. Thanks for the aggression and assumptions about me. Maybe I am ok with growing old, imagine that, someone actually ok with who they are and what they look like.

    Grow up, OP.

Well I'm not. Beauty has its advantages. Maybe you don't need beauty... maybe you have already got a husband and kids and therefore have no reason to look attractive any more(or for whatever reason), but not moi!

no I'm not. I just don't want to age. You're socially retarded, and you're okay with aging

Have you been looking at my other threads?

Ok, well firstly please don't use the word 'retarded'. It's really not cool.

Secondly, you know nothing about me, like I know nothing about you. So you can't make any judgment about my social abilities.

Thirdly, you will age. No-one looks 24 forever. I'm all for looking after your skin, obviously. That's why I have a good daily routine going and have since I was 12. But don't place unrealistic goals like not ever getting a frown line. It's pretty much impossible without Botox or surgical interventions.

And finally, I have seen your other posts, yes. You do realise that this is a public board, and I can look at whatever I want?

    Don't frown.

    But seriously...

Wear sun cream on your face everyday.
    Don't get dehydrated.
    Moisturise.

The rest is down to genetics I'd say. And I echo what has been said, don't get so worked up over it! They're only wrinkles. Not very much you can do about them.

Yeah. You're going to age. You're ageing now. Get over it. Your older now than you were when you started opening weird threads on here. No avoiding it.

ah but you see, I'm a dude. Dudes age slower, and when they do, they've just gotten a bit more rugged. I will be one sexy devil in the future.

    Hands off ladies!

Most 24 yr olds don't look 20, like me. The only annoying thin about is that cashiers think i'm a little baby and call me 'love'!

Is a guy that's 24 looking 20 a good thing? Not something I'd boast about personally

Best thing you can do is wear sunscreen every day, keep hydrated, and be sure to clean your face at the end of th day.

You can do all the right things but honestly I think if genetics are gonna get you, they will.

Im 31, and have has lines around my eyes and mouth for a long time, despite my mum having amazing skin, drinking gallons of water which was a habit I started aged about 14, using suncream every day (always have!) and eating well, exercise, never smoked, drink very little... still catches up with me! Hate it so much.

People are too quick to dismiss genetics. Sunscreen is very important but no amount of it is gonna freeze your face forever and if both your parents had wrinkles from an early age chances are you will too.

Wow! So you think that people only need to look attractive to find a partner? I like to look good and attractive for myself first and foremost.

I do. But they're the grey hairs of a 35 year old. And my ear fell off.
