Hand cleaner?

Anyone got a good recommendation for how to get your hands clean after a puncture repair? I am lucky enough to have my own office space where I can fix punctures as necessary (which seems to be quite often). However, its not ideal in an office based job to have grease covered hands - and the hand cleaner in the toilets just doesn't cut it.

I leave a thing of baby wipes in the drawer in the office. (I use the ones from Lidl or Aldi). They are a really good degreaser, and I find they clean up dirty hands well.

Get yourself a box of single use gloves. After you finish the repair, your current hand cleaner will do.

Regarding a better hand cleaner, at the moment I use this cleaner from Aldi and it is good.

if u need a quick cleaner that ur office canteen will have just pour some washing up liquid into ur hand and sprinkle some sugar on top of it,then just scrub ur hands, the washing up liquid and sugar will combine and clean anything of ur hands, loads of mechanics etc use this when doing on call jobs at peoples houses and not having swarfega etc on them.

I bought W5 cleaner in Aldi last week and I have to say its BRILLIANT. I'd normally use Swarfega but I found after giving the bike a proper clean it wouldnt always get my hands clean. I used the W5 on Friday after cleaning about an inch of gunk off the bike and it got my hands spotless!

Babywipes, yes... I will say it again, BABYWIPES. They are unreal at cleaning off grease, dirt etc, just get a little pack of travel ones and away you go. You wont beat them.

Tried em (I have two small kids so plenty of baby wipes in our house) and didn't find them that great. Maybe the grease in Mayo is tougher;)

If your oil and grease is now mayo, you've got water in the system, and you'll need your head replaced........ or maybe that's the other kind of bike .......

get some hand barrier cream, it dries quickly and stops oil penetrating the creases in your skin. when youre finished you wash it off very easily and your skin doesnt dry out. I have no idea of the brand names, I get it from lidl when its in their specials a couple of times a year, usually during paint/motor promotions

I was a Swarfega man for years, when I worked part time in refrigeration, used to get manky.

Then this came along and changed everything..by far the best hand cleaner I've ever used (plus is smells nice, and doesn't make your hands too dry!)

Nitrile gloves, all health care suppliers stock them, I get mine locally for around €6 for a box of 100
