I want to set up a small website with just a few pages for sole trader. I am using a Mac. Who is the best hosting company to go with?

    I basically need -
    1. A web site with about 5 pages
    2. 1 x email address
    3 A .ie domain name
    4. Tools that I can easily set up the web page and maintain myself. (using a Mac). I have used wix but I cannot attach this to a .ie domain.

I also need to buy 2 x domains and link them to each other.

Any advise on where to go would be much appreciated.

Any basic hosting plan will work for you.

We don't actually allow hosting talk or recommendations on Boards, so for that reason we can't point you in any particular direction. Google is your friend!

As far as I know you should be able to use Wix with a .ie domain name - there should be instructions in their FAQ on how to setup a domain registered elsewhere to work with them
Bear in mind, however, that (as far as I know) they don't offer email services.

Wix do offer email services via Google Apps, but it requires a premium account, as does domain attaching.

However Wix is really bad value and the the quality of site is very poor. There's way way better value in getting hosting and shed loads of add-ons from a regular hosting provider. A quick search for wix related posts on here and in the Design forum will show lots of advice to disentangle from wix as soon as possible - it's an awful platform.
