Probably nonsense, worst case is you'll have to get an engineers report for it,and that is only if they ask for one to prove the suspension is put in correctly. Mine is nowhere near standard and it passes with no problems

That stinks! i used get through it with a lifted discovery with no questions asked, don't see why lowering should be any different, that was before they brought in the new system though. Some test centres are strict enough, might be best to find another centre that isn't so strict, cheaper to spend the cost of a second DOE than to get a report at €250

With the Engineers report is it an engineer on a list they have,or just a "suitably qualified" engineer?

They know a few but trying to get one at a good price is the thing.

We've had a few Kuga's with Eibach lowering springs, pass the DOE/CRVT with no issues.

Ford Spec springs, but not factory fit - not even dealer fitted as they wanted twice what our indy charged to do it.

Still puzzled why they wanted lowered suspension, but at least they took advise and didn't fit the 19" wheels as well.
