I am trying to get one of these car trackers working. Red light stays on. Amazon website says "it must be a 2g sim card" (I guess for UK users). What is the equivalent in Ireland? I tried new vodafone PAYG (3G). No joy. They disabled all 3G APNs upon request to try force it to 2G. Still no joy. Any thoughts? I can't tell if it is a sim issue or an issue with the unit.
(I posted under motoring too - hope that's not a problem.)
    Thx.

2G means is uses gprs instead of 3G. Any sim card will do that. It should be just a case of entering any sim card and then texting that number "begin123456".

Thanks. Just to close: I couldn't get vodafone sim to work - even when they disabled 3g APNs. A new O2 3g sim does work.
