Woodlice, suddenly appearing in my hall and bathroom

    Hi,

Recently Ive noticed woodlice appearing in my bathroom, I put it down to the dampness and just gave it a clean out to see if there were any damp areas. Now though they are appearing in my hall, usually 1 or 2 at a time, which doesn't make any sense as the hall is bone dry.

Ive gone outside my front door and sealed up any cracks with a silicone gun as well as in my bathroom and hall, I even put down some powder I got for killing Ants a few years back and it definitely works on them too as I woke up this morning and saw 3 or 4 dead ones in my hall but 1 was still alive.

I know their harmless, but their ugly little buggers and the misses cant stand them, any tips would be welcome.

The ones you're seeing now may be the few that got trapped inside when you sealed the gaps and cracks on the outside. They won't survive indoors, it's too dry, they will just dehydrate and die. They only live in damp areas and can creep into the smallest gaps and spaces.

If you have plants growing close to the house walls or slabs or stones there, you're providing them with super accommodation. Clear as much as you can within a foot or 2 of the walls and the door.
Also check around the lower edge of the windows (I'm assuming ground floor windows) for tiny gaps or cracks, or holes drilled for wires or pipes to enter the house and seal up anything you find.
