Date for public sale not announced yet but likely to be Monday or Tuesday of next week after Glasgow and Leinster season ticket holders have had a presale.

    They'll be on ticketmaster

I presume it's in the RDS, could they sell out (or near enough the Aviva)?

BOD's last (definitely last) send off

nah, wouldn't get close to selling it out, especially as it's not a Leinster branch controlled game and given the limited period they have to sell tickets.

Sure the Ulster game wasn't even a sell out and I'd say tickets for this will be available late into the week if it does sell out at any point

    Wow, that's somewhat surprising.

The Leinster fan base isn't as big as people think.

You can buy tickets for the home HEC games in the RDS usually right up to the day of the game, definitely in the week before it anyway.

You mightn't have a great choice of seats but I usually sit in the North or South Stand so I'm sorted.

The match is controlled by Celtic Rugby and its meant to be a 50-50 split. However the times the Ospreys have visited the RDS they've haven't taken anywhere near their full allocation and I'd except Glasgow won't take many given their season ticket holders number are much smaller than Leinster (less than 3,000 I think???). There was a public sale for the 2012 Grand Final so hopefully there'll be one again this year.

Even Ulster didn't take up their full allocation for last year's final (surprisingly).

A small number of tickets at their end went on General Sale after being returned.

    2012 Grand Final

Is it also a Grand Final this year, or just a normal final ?

Has anyone gotten any decent tickets in the presale or are they hoarding them?

All I've seen in Angelsea is A and E block at the back with no hope of a decent view...

I'm hoping they'll release some decent seats before it goes public.

selling seats in the A block is one of the lowest things Leinster can do tbh

had that happen to me - a shocking waste of €50 that day

As much I despise Leinster ticketing, this may not be their fault. Celtic Rugby are the ones controlling this event and will be the ones saying when and to whom tickets can go on sale

Unless you are a season ticket holder since we moved to the RDS, good tickets are never available for sale, as generally season ticket holders have all the good seats and they tend to hold onto them from one season to the next

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

When do they open the A block during the regular season?

Also, why is the A block such an issue? It's the corner of the stadium and you can see the pitch. Is it having to strain your neck that's the issue?

I don't mind that but A and E simply should not be on sale, they are ridiculous, particularly the ones near each end...you cannot see half the pitch

even straining your neck you cannot see the action at the far end as all the people ahead of you in the row are also straining!!

you are in seats beyond the end line that look out into the North and south stands not the pitch

If there are a lot of people on then ticketmaster won't allow you pick seats - it'll just offer you random ones. At quieter times, you can pick.

Still haven't seen any decent seats available, this is what's currently on offer (including on-sale times):

very surprised they went so quick.

if its any consolation, i didnt get my tickets to last years final until a few days beforehand when ulster returned 300.
I can see glasgow returning a few more than that this year.

But the Glasgow pre-sale went through ticketmaster and ended at 12pm today so this might be it.

I was in a meeting and my boss just droned on and on, now I've no frickin' ticket.

I'm sure I'll pick up one somewhere.

Have Glasgow's returns actually gone on sale yet? That might've just been a reserved amount for public sale.

Club are saying there were only 2000 available so I presume that included the Glasgow returns at 1 and they sold out really quickly. Hoping its sunny I'm in the south stand.

Got my South stand ticket, hurrah!

You'd imagine that if Glasgow took 2k, there'd be more than just 2k available. I wouldn't be surprised if there's another sale on once Glasgow's returns are actually confirmed.

Hopefully seems to be a lot of disappointed fans. I know some of our gang got tickets in the North Stand last year a few days before the final (it was hilarious they were surrounded by white!) :D

How many tickets are being made available in all to both clubs and how many are pre-allocated to sponsors and the like
