Hi All,So i converted my clubcard vouchers to a 4 star pizza €10 voucher and last night phoned my local 4 star pizza in Drogheda and ordered a large 16 inch pizza the staff member told me its €9.99, I called to collect the pizza and presented my €10 voucher, The staff member went quiet and told me he would take the voucher but the pizza would be €19.99, So the pizza is normally €9.99 but its €19.99 with a tesco €10 voucher, Is this legal what there doing i feel its a total con as the pizza is the same price with or without the €10 voucher

Is it not covered in the t&c's with can not be used in conjunction with any other offer.

As far as i am concerned its always been €9.99 , The price points don't say special offer, So effectively the voucher is worthless, I'm calling Tesco tomorrow to compliant

Cannot be used against special offers or meal deals. That's standard T&cs on all tesco restaurant vouchers.

    Here's the standard pricing http://www.fourstarpizza.ie/menus/specialty-pizza-ie

and here's the drogheda menu http://www.fourstarpizza.ie/wp-content/files_mf/1394704737Drogheda.pdf

    Terms and Conditions

Boost Tokens must be mentioned at time of order.
Boost Tokens cannot be used to purchase beverages.
Boost Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotional menu - including meal deals. Boost tokens cannot be used for payment of delivery.
All standard Clubcard Boost terms and conditions apply.

I never would have expected to get that offer with it. I would always mention I had a voucher on the phone too, to prevent stuff like this, which seems very common.

This is something to watch for with all "junkmail pizza" places, half price is normal price, and even then is still usually overpriced relative to other takeaway ingredients costs too. So what you consider "normal price" is normally not applicable to any offers.

Your best bet is to use it on sides or combo meals (ones not listed are promos or reductions) and not pizza. The sides are at more reasonable prices and not considered specials. I would still ask to make sure it will work though.
