Just wondering if a tyre fails test for low thread depth or for being worn/damaged is a re-test needed or just a visual retest inspection when tyre is replaced at no extra charge? Thanks

You might pass the NCT but that tyre is past it. For your safety you should look at replacing it.

I don't normally do the high horse thing but that tyre is a danger to yourself/family and other road users.
