Rest, cycle or walk it off?

    I ran 10k in training yesterday for the 1st time and ended up with a little niggle in my left knee. This morning I got up and it's pretty sore.

    Sunday is the only day I cycle because I run the rest of the week and need a few recovery days too. Fitness wise I feel like I'm perfectly capable of cycling 50k-ish today so the only thing stopping me is my knee.

    Should I rest it, go for a gentle walk or cycle anyway? Maybe cycling won't affect my knee too much? It's at the back of the knee.

    I'd be inclined to try a very flat, high cadence gentle spin and to make sure that I'm not going too far from home in case it starts acting up.

    If it started hurting I'd stop.

    I had intended heading up the mountain today. It's a very small mountain. That certainly doesn't seem like a great idea now.

    Essentally you are seeking medical advice. It is against Boards rules to seek or provide such advice.
