    Any advice concerning this:
What are the challenges or issues that a teacher is likely to face in a new school over five years?

Do you mean a school new to the teacher or a brand new school?

Building up your subject, setting up banks of resources.
Getting a class through LC, developing a plan for the subject.
Getting a 'school spirit' (for want of a better term) going.
Trying to get eventually beyond the 'the new school' name.
Getting established in a network of other local schools.
Getting established in the eyes of local primary schools.
Getting established nationally in terms of things like sports, Young Scientist, all that sort of stuff.

This is off the top of my head.

Establishing/conforming to a new discipline procedure. All teachers have to buy into it for it to work, but being a new staff set, everyone will have their own ideas..

The eldest cohort of pupils will have no senior peers to have as role models... in a way how the elders behave will filter down for years!
