I'm starting a full time internship soon and am currently working in a hotel as a barman. I have handed in my notice but the manager is trying to get me to stay on and do 1 day a week or even every forthnight. (A saturday 12 hour shift 2-2) However I feel this would cause too much stress. What do you guys think?

If you really don't want to do it say no. But in my opinion one 12 hour shift a forthnight would not be too bad. It would also boost your earning substantially over what you would earn on the internship alone. Out of curiosity was the barman role full-time before you took up the internship.

No it was not full time officially but was working an average of 26-30 hours a week and sometimes 40 hours. All while I was doing my studies. Didn't really have a days off.

I would hold onto the bar bar work until something substantial/ long term comes up
