Election posters

Has anyone seen the ridiculous amount of posters a Fianna Fáil candidate (Edward mc manus) has put up at the crossroads of snugborough rd and main st, just beside the Topaz station. There's a long railing and there are literally a line of 18 election posters in a row for this man within the space of about 10 metres. It's completely taking the piss and looks dreadful.
No surprise given it's a FF candidate.

Haven't seen those particular posters but I would argue that the Anti Austerity Alliance/Socialists are the worst of the bunch. Ruth Coppinger has posters everywhere, including on the back of traffic signs and so low on some poles that they're touching the ground. David McGuinness is also FF but he has been nothing but respectful of the poster rules.

Fingal were taking some posters down the other night but they've failed dreadfully in implementing the rules which say posters have to be at least 2.3 metres off the ground and none on railings.

In our estate Jack Chambers and TJ Clare took down their posters when asked (private road), Kavanagh, McManus and Waine have ignored repeated requests. Uludag removed all but one and Murray has proved impossible to contact. So that's 5 candidates added to my "not getting a vote from me "list.

Well mc manus' posters are just above ground level and there are literally a line of them at that junction on the railings. I'd nearly cut them off myself. It just goes to show the contempt these people have for us and their arrogance.

Is it illegal to take posters down that is not at the legal height that is blocking the view of the road leaving your drive. Told one lot to take it down. Wasn't happy about it. Have to agree about the Anti Austerity. Just taken one down.

There was a crew go around last week removing them. I had a passing chat with them and they said they had to removed about 20% of them in some areas. It seems the fines are of no concern to these politicians.
