A friend of mine got his results today for a FETAC Level 5 he has been doing sense September. It says on his result that he has passed everything, a mixture of 1 distinction, 2 merits and 5 passes. It says at the side that the final mark is a [P]Component, What exactly does that mean?

This means he did not get the full award. What award was he sitting and what modules did he achieve.

    Work Experience - 5N1356 - Merit
    Child Development - 5N1764 - Pass
    Child Health & Well Being - 5N1765 - Pass

Looks like he has enough to get it. Sometimes if results are entered and printed on the same day will not show on results sheet full award has been achieved. You need to check with centre.

Thanks for the reply. I couldn't understand why he would only get a component of a certificate if he passed everything.

I know of another centre where the Creative Arts module didn't seem to be programmed correctly and didn't seem to fulfill the criteria as an optional module.

Your centre will have to contact FETAC/QQI about it if that's the case.

Here's the details of the full course.

They didnt get a full award as they didn't do communications. Need work exp and communications to get full award.

Customer Service can be used instead of Communications.

We're still a little confused. I mean he passed all the required modules?

Did you check this out? It's a QQI glitch, not anything the centre is doing wrong, afaik it will have to be fixed manually.
