it looks super safe, all that side protection looks great.

Yes, It seems to be fairly secure. There are speakers and an inflatable headrest on this also. More of a gimmick than anything i'd say. Just annoyed that I paid nearly €245 for this a few months back.

For people with small kids (under 3) I'd suggest maybe thinking of a rear facing seat as oppose to something like this, if you are in the market for a seat

And what happens if you're rear ended by somebody? I'm guessing front facing is safer in this case. I spent hours researching forward vs rear facing and honestly couldn't say which was better.

    .
All goes a bit wrong tested at 100km/h instead of 50

( afaik they were testing a new crash-test facility so did the test at 100km/h and put ~400kg of paving slabs or something in the boot
    - just like a trip to Homebase / B&Q etc )

Ah sorry, it's a Nova IS. I was thinking of the normal Nova.

Rear facing is far safer than front facing, do the homework. Rearfacing.Co.Uk has plenty of links to support the claims.

Yes the seats are more expensive but screw it.
