Looking for a bit help regarding clubs, I'm sure this has come up loads of times already.

I'm thinking of getting a full set of Colt clubs which include 3-sw, putter, woods, bag and trolley all in perfect condition for €50. Thing is I've never heard of this brand and I cant find anything about them on google but for €50 it seems a great deal.

Would I be better off spending more and getting better branded clubs? Or will these do? Only ever played pitch and putt before so just looking for a set to get me into golf.

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds perfect for trying out golf. If you like it you can always upgrade at a later date rather than soending big money to decide you don't like it.

I would say go for the clubs at €50.

Better branded clubs are not going make you a better golfer. I had a beginner set for years and only recently changed to an upgraded set last year. I got my handicap down to 6 with my beginner set so it is clear it is not all about what clubs you have. Saying that I hope with my new set I can go that little bit lower.

If it turns out you don't like the game then you are only €50 down.

    Good Luck

50 quid is a bargain to be honest and when you are a beginner it doesn't matter much at all the name on the clubs. Best advice I can give is a quote (ish) from Jack Nicklaus - learn to hit the ball as far as you can and when you have managed that then worry about straightening it up :)

    Enjoy

Colt was an own Brand sold by GolfWorks, Nothing of any great quality or styling, but 50€ to get ya started? How bad!!

Apologies for bumping this thread, unfortunately the original deal fell through and I'm back looking for a set. Theres a lot to choose from on adverts, a lot seem to be in pretty poor condition though.
Any opinions on some of the following? I'm not sure if the Lynx set are blades or not and I cant find much info about them online. Or would I be better off getting a good set of second hand Irons for the moment.

    Other suggestions would be welcomed.

    Thanks again!

The Lynx set are not blades. The Lynx set are probably in the best condition as per the links above!! You could get a good beginners set in Sports World for around €200 or €300. What budget have you set out for clubs???

I'd say max would be in around the €100 mark, unless I came across a bargain.

Then I would go with the Lynx set if I was you. You will find it nearly next to impossible to find a full set for around €100 in that condition.
