Hi, I'm going away for a week during the summer and need advice on a good, reliable kennel for my 1 year old dog. This is my first time leaving her and want to make sure she's well looked after as have heard some horror stories about neglect. Really need help as have no choice but to put her in a kennel as have no one else to look after her so any advice would be really appreciated.

I've never had any experience with any Kennels in Galway but I was out dog walking for a dog rescue center called <snip> in Camus (around an hour from Galway City) and the work they do is fantastic. I think they have kennels also. Look them up online.. its <snip>

    I found galwaykennels(dot)com/ after a quick google.

    Best of luck!

If i had the space I'd offer to take her for the week! :P

Please note that rescues can't be named nor linked to on-thread, as per the forum charter. You can make recommendations for any rescue group by pm.
    Thanks,

I use Big and Small out near Moycullen for both daycare and pet sitting. The woman who owns it, Gabriela, keeps the dogs in her own house with her, they're not locked in a kennel or anything. Recommend her completely, she's brilliant with them.
