Hi, I looking for departure location and times of the 39 bus (mon-fri) from the city centre to blanch shopping center, I'm on me phone and cant access Dublin bus timetable....and how long will the journey take?

Also, I haven't travelled on Dublin bus for many years, do they still take cash or will I have to buy a bus ticket?
    Thanks.

39A is quicker. Picks up at Aston Quay, near Ha'penny Bridge. The cash fare is €3.05, which must be exact, in coins only. If you tender more than €3.05, you will be issued with a refund ticket, which can be exchanged for cash only at Dublin Bus head office on O'Connell Street. The 39A operates at a 10-minute frequency during daytime.

Other city centre pick-up stops are at Leeson Street, Dawson Street, Suffolk Street, Wood Quay and Merchants Quay.

Don't get the 39, get the 39a. The 39 now only runs every half hour and takes a very long route though Blanch village, Clonsilla and Blanchardtown Roads before arriving at the centre. The 39a operates roughly every 10-15 minutes and takes a direct route out the N3 and straight into the centre.

As for departure locations, from the city centre the main options are Dawson St(near Hodges and Figgis bookstore), Suffolk St(near the Pizza Hut) and Aston Quay(outside Gypsy Rose).

    The cash fare is €3.05

 < 8 years ago it was under €1.80 - and then they wonder why usage is down??

(yes I know LEAP etc but that's still a ridiculous increase!)
