If you are not getting paid for the course and are still available for and looking for full time work you can still get paid on your claim.

If a person is on a fas course and another course comes up that they wish to do...can they easily change courses?

That I'm not sure of. Assuming your payment stays with FAS and they arrange the change it should be ok. Otherwise if there was even a short gap you would have to make a new claim with DSP until the new course started.

If you are being paid by FAS you are not deemed to be on your stamps. If it falls under BTE the claim days stop counting. Either way once you've started you get to finish the course. Once you finish though you would only have the month left on claim then.
