    Hi,

Is there anyone else out there going to start the professional masters in education (used to be called the HDIP) in september? Im on Jobseekers allowance and Im hoping to be able to apply for the Back to education. But, cuz they have changed the HDIP to a two year course and slapped a masters title to it, im worried they wont cover it anymore. I have rang the BTEA people so many times at this point and they just keep saying they hope to have made a decision soon. GRRRR!!

Anyone else in the same boat as me? Its highly frustrating >.<

HI, In the same boat, was inquiring the past while nobody had answers. The back to education section said they would take my number and get back to me....Good news....Got a call today from the Back to education section today. Speaking to someone very helpful on the other end told me PME will be recognised for back to education as it takes over from the old Hdip.
Was very happy to get the call today.

No problem. NUIG was the second PAC choice for me. I got U.C.D and placement sorted... Cannot wait to start. These next few months are going to drag in.

Ah lucky you! Im so stressed out about it. Have emailed and rang so many school but they are either full, or only take past students. At least I know I can apply for the BTEA now though! Do you know if you get a grant automatically if you apply for BTEA? Cuz I was told I have to be our of education three years to apply for the grant.

I was on to Susi today when I heard today. They said it will not effect a grant application because its post-grad level. BTEA only effects undergrads as it cancels out the maintenance part of the grant. There is no maintenance at postgrad level.
