Overuling civil service to allocate disproportionate National Lottery funds to his own constituency.

He's not the only one of course but he really took the piss.

This has been going on for years.

I't long past time these allocations were taken out of the hands of politicians and handled by an independent body.

For however long decisions regarding the allocations of monies are left in the hands of humans this is how it will be.

As long as we keep voting these guys in they'll always be here. Watch this, there are people tonight going "well at least he brought money into our constituency"

Completely disillusioned with everyone who runs (destroys) this country.
Voting wont make any difference. They are all the same. Only out for what they can get for themselves.
New politicians/civil servants may go in all good intentions and ideals but they are soon trampled on by the horrible good ole boy attitude that has brought this country to its knees.

Had another Fail lol today -daughter received TWO medical cards - neither of which she needs nor asked for - they just plopped in. And people who need and beg for them get none. You gotta ask just how fcuked up the system really is.

... until we get rid of the daft system of 168 (or whatever number it is) and replace them with about a 20 person management team with no local (pot hole and street light) responsibilities it will never change...

The current cabinet will claim they are just that.

... they can claim it all they like - we've just seen on Prime Time that their real concentration is on local not national issue... (not that we needed Prime time to tell us)...

Not sure it should be twenty but i absolutely agree there's far to many of them at the moment all taking care of little local parish pump issues that leads to the kind of thing that was highlighted on Primetime.
