Anybody come across a cycling jersey with a collar that could be turned up to keep sun off back of neck. I am travelling to continent in early July and cycling south to north so sun will be beating on the back of my neck all day. I could use polo shirt or similar but would like a cycling jersey for the pockets and light material. I have suncream as a last resort but collar would be nice..

Or just use a light buff.

I haven't got a collared jersey every and feel that a polo shirt wouldn't work well in the heat but what I do is attach a small piece of fabric (about size of a hankie) to the back of the helmet with velco - easy to carry in the back pocket until needed and easy to attach.

I've seen these used to good effect...

....or a Pantani style bandana on the underside of the back of the helmet.
