Condenser boiler - external pipe leaking 1 litre water every 10 mins

We have a Potterton 32 HE Plus condenser boiler. The heating hasn't been used for a few weeks. A couple of days ago, I noticed a steady, constant stream of water coming from the external pipe. I forgot about it for a couple of days but checked it again today. It's still the same.

I ran the heating for 15 mins to check & it seems to be working OK. Pressure is 1 bar (which is what the manual says it should be). After I turned the heating off, the water was still leaking out of the external pipe. I stuck a measuring bucket under it - it's losing 1 litre every 10 mins. The water is warm / heated.

Any idea what's causing this? I did check the manual & Googled online, but couldn't find a solution.

    Thanks

Sounds like you have the safety valve piped into the condensate pipe & it's discharging. System pressure is being maintained by an automatic filling valve.

Issue will then most likely be boiler expansion vessel diaphragm split or deflated.

Thanks... although I'm not I sure I understand any of what you just said! Nobody has made any adjustments to the boiler since it was installed 4-5 years ago.

Do I need to call a plumber to sort it?

Is water coming from a white plastic pipe or a copper pipe outside?

You will need an RGI to sort it. What area are you?

Could well be a burst heat exchanger and an auto filling valve

It's a copper pipe (there is no white plastic pipe outside). In in Celbridge, Nth Kildare / Dublin border.
