Paypal & An Post Sterling Card

Has anyone successfully registered and used an An Post Sterling Card on Paypal to pay for things on eBay?

I need to purchase something substantial, but don't want to use my personal credit card due to the delay in preloading it cash, the BOI cross border transaction fee and Paypal's unfavorable rates, all of which make the Sterling card look tempting.

I've tried contacting the parent company in the UK both by the phone number on the An Post website, which is more of an emergency number than a general enquiry line,
and via an email contact form which I was advised to during that phone call, but have yet to hear back.

    Update:

Phoned Paypal and they gave the all clear as the An Post Sterling Card is considered a Master Card and has the 16 digits and CCV code needed.

They just need to do the $1 test fee to authenticate the card and you're good to go.

Not yet, the item I'm waiting to purchase for is pretty expensive so I won't know for a while if there's any hiccups.

Just confirmed the card on Paypal; so far so good.

Although it hasn't been a completely smooth process.

Registering on the Cash Passport (Post FX Parent Company) was bit of a nightmare,
I managed to get locked out for 24 hours as somehow part of my address in the section asking what form of ID I used.

I'm just off the phone to them as they had to manually unlock it from their side.
