Hi, I am try to build an ultra light go kart that will also be able to carry loads, like wood or 2 square metres of big stones. I want it to be able to go quiet fast on a flat and level dirt road but also be able to drive in fields.the fields are bumpy and wet. I need it to go reasonably fast in the fields. I was wondering if a 5-10hp engine can pull this off, thanks.

2m² of large stones will be way over the capacity of a 15hp engine.
Ultralight and heavy loads don't work in the same sentence.
A Landcruiser with 120hp would struggle to move that kind of weight and they weigh over 1800kgs.
I think you need to rethink what you are trying to achieve.
A Dumper sounds more like what you need or at least a minidumper.

Look up Ackermann geometry before you go welding anything together

( basically if a car etc is going around a corner, the wheel on the inside follows a smaller curve than the one on the outside )

To be honest, you'd be better off finding a chinese twin seat offroad kart and start with that as a base. By the time you buy steel and start trying to work out geometry and buy all the drive and steering stuff you'd be out of money and the dream will have died.
