I've just seen it as well and was wondering what it's up to, it's flying quite low.

Perhaps a rehearsal for the commissioning ceremony for the LE Samuel Beckett?

I've no idea what they have scheduled for the ceremony but usually when the Air Corps are around the city centre with anything other than the Garda helis, it's for display/ceremonial stuff.

Official commissioning of the newest naval vessel in the Liffey on Saturday (overseen by the person who very recently took over dept of defence, Enda Kenny...)

It was a flypast salute to the official commissioning of the LE Samuel Beckett on the Liffey this morning.

The Air Corps were also filming the LE Samuel Beckett as she was put through her paces pre-commissioning and on arrival on the River Liffey
