Looking at changing my car and it's basically down to 3 choices really.

    1. 07 BMW 525D LCI
    2. 07 BMW 530D pre-LCI
    3. 07 BMW 335i tourer :) I know the petrol heads will say this one anyway :)

Anything I should be aware of with any of them?
First 2 are auto while the 335 is manual.

If you can afford the car and you can justify the tax and fuel then you should but the 335i. You'll probably never again have the opportunity to by a 335i tourer in manual.

If you can afford it then do it!!!!!

    Both 525/530 are M sport.
The thing with these 2 is I can use my car as a trade in while for the 335 I'd have to buy it and sell my own car (07 520D lci) later on.

At the moment I'm more likely to go with either the 525D or the 530D so interested in hearing people's opinions on both or experience.
The 525D LCI is the 3l engine which is supposed to be the same as a detuned 530D but I'm reading that in fact it's not.
Apparently the auto box is also only rated for 400nm while the 530D box is rated for 500nm.
I was considering remapping the 525D but if this is the case then I'd be putting it at a lot of risk.

I know kceire you had the pre-lci 525D so how did you find that?

Pre LCI 525d was nice. 177bhp but mine was remapped to circa 210bhp i believe. It wasnt as economical as i would have thought, my 530d and 535d were more economical for my use.

    525d Remapped - 22mpg
    535d Remapped - 26mpg

i would be inclined to go with the LCI 525d for the newer features. one of the lads on BMW Haus has an LCI 525d too IIRC.

I'd been mulling it over a few days and just a while ago agreed to buy the 525D.
Was very impressed by the smoothness of the automatic and the engine over my 520D. All in all a happy camper :)
    Collecting it tomorrow afternoon :)

will post up some tomorrow evening when I pick it up.
Got a good deal on it with a trade of my 07 520D LCI.
Only 72K miles on the clock for the 525D and 2 year BMW warranty with it.

Here's one to piss off everyone...while admiring the new Z4 roadster...cash price is €53,000 approx.
The real price is €32,000 with the remaining 20k in VRT and VAT..I was fairly sickened to say the least....its absolutely scandalous that the Government markup on this car is 62 per cent...
