    Later edit & maybe a bit late in the day: Maybe should have titled this Tour of California, it's about the day's stage so if u don't want to find out about it don't read on.

    Just watching the Tour of California on Eurosport. No break ever seems to stay away these days but maybe this one will. Go on the breakaway! Probably doomed but anyway . . .

    For all the hordes on tenterhooks, the peloton got it wrong, breakaway stayed away, Cavendish will probably be fuming & the King of the Mountains won the sprint. A victory for the underdog. One in the eye for the Man.

    Yeah, great that the 6 worked together selflessly, got their reward & the monster of the peloton came unstuck for once.
