I have a few salers heifers for bulling and im wondering what bull to give them. Il be using a dovea bull. A couple of my taughts were 1. Djm (sh) 2. Apx(blonde) 3. Mlj (angus) 4. Bbq (blue) 5. Cwi (lim) 6. Rhf (lim) 7. Kce (blonde) 7. Zfl (angus). They are big heifers so should be well able to calve most bulls. Any suggestions welcome thanks.

Mlj throwing nice cattle. Born handy and grow well. The tonroe bull is also a nice sire. Currently using a son of his in my ped herd and the best calves I have had in 10 years.

More beef because these are the first salers iv had and I want to see if they're as good as people say before I breed more. Test the water if u get what I mean. But I still want them to calve handy eenough.

No, haven't used him. I think he might be a better bet for heifers than CWI or RHF. Bulls like KCE and BBQ might be a bit risky on heifers IMO.
EBY looks easy calving too but I've never used him either.

In my opinion cwi is way easier calving than rhf.. my main choice would be apx. He'd bring a nice bit of growth too I think.

Used zfl last yr on heifers, all that held in calf calved by themselves. Nice bit of shape to the calves.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

I used EBY a lot this year he extremely easy calving (cd2.1%???) But calves are tiny ....I'll let ye know if they grow.........AI man says he gives all continental heifers KGB and they all born easy and very classy calves i was very disappointed with most of my MLJ calves too but they only starting to take off now at 16 weeks

Agree on Mlj. At one time they were worst in yard and they have passed out the majority of the other calves now but it took 4months. At first I blamed the heifer had no milk but think I was wrong

I have a unreal heifer of BBQ, but looked about getting him again for a few heifers but I think he's gone from dovea.

I think hes not firing on all cylinders if atal sometimes but he is available. Or maybe the ai man just has a good supply of them. Were they easy calved? What sort of heifers were they?
