Hi Folks,

I am developing an app for android and have ImageButtons - which say for example the first one has an image of a dog, a cat, a mouse and so on - when the user presses these images - i would like the android device to say "DOG, CAT, MOUSE" etc etc....

I have googled voice commands and api but just cannot seem to find what i am looking for -

Can anyone please guide me in the right direction?

No - I looking for when the user clicks a button (ImageButton) - say for Animals - Their device will say "Animals" and will start a new screen showing A (for ant), B (for Bee), C (for Cat) and so on and when each is pressed, their device will say "Ant", "Bee" etc etc

Text to Speech should be able to do that for you, unless I'm missing something.

If you don't want to use Text to Speech I think you might have to record all the words you want the application to "speak" as sound files and program your app to play a specific sound file when each specific button is pressed.
