Thinking Of Making The Switch + Epipe Question

    So .....

Recently I have found myself going into the shops thinking of trying the e-cigs and coming out with my usual pouch of tobacco . I am smoking 30 odd years but never really a heavy smoker , at my worst I was a 20 a day B&H smoker but for the last 20 years or more I have been 10 a day or less . I now smoke Golden Virginia rolls using a filter and a half plus sometimes I would even make a full roll , just a half one or so . Cost hasn't been a major factor due to a brother coming home from the Canary Islands fairly frequently but that will be changing soon , even then at my rate of smoking it will still be around €15 a week . Also , if the truth be known I never really liked the taste of roll tobacco , by heh I am extremely partial to my nicotine fix .

So now I am going to try to switch to Vaping and I reckon if I have to draw on a bit of plastic tubing then it might as well look good , plus I am fairly sure it should embarrass my teenage kids so thats a big plus ... SO I am looking at the ePipe 618 Full Kit . I did a search on here and I don't see any comment on it but the reviews for elsewhere are a bit hit and miss , some say great others say not so great .

So has anyone here tried it ?
Any tips or advice relevant to a beginner ? I have read through some of the threads here already but my old head isn't great for taking in info from multiple posts :(

    Thanks

    John

I havent used one , but imo its expensive , probably comes with crap batteries, you are limited to 18350 batteries = short life between charges probably 4ish hours , replacement cartomizers for the tank here http://www.ezsmoke.ie/epipe-cartomizer-p-479.html are a little on the pricey side as well.

I would see this as more of a novelty item for someone who is vaping a long time and has run out of shiny things to buy :D , or for someone who use to actually smoke a pipe

I would suggest trying out an ego starter kit first and see how you get on.

If you are looking for something to "show off" take a look at the vape porn thread for some ideas.

Just on that point , it was priced in the shop today for €55 , but he didn't have any in stock and won't have for a week or so , any of the other started kits that were shown to me in the 3 shops I looked in this morning were around the €50/€55 price range .

    Aah.

Check the usual online shops. I'd recommend the €20 kit at www.thebestshop.eu this is basic, but should give you an idea if you like vaping. You'll need juice as well.

Use irishvape as a discount code for 10% off.

Yeah and i probably wouldnt buy a kit now as all i can see these days comes with 650mah batteries.

if i was you i would buy 2 ego-c twist or evod twist 900mah batteries 40euro charger about 7euro and 2 cheap eliquid containers e.g evod 10 euro and pack of 5 spair coils for containers 10 euro

about 67 euro but what you have is something that will work well and last

You can get a regular battery and then stick one of these on it.janty_kuwako_4f1e1bd1512d0.jpg

It will give the look and feel of a pipe then, but it doesn't do anything - has no power button etc. Just slides over the end of the battery and hides it/gives you something to hold. It would work best with an automatic ego battery I reckon (ie no manual power button you have to hold down when taking a drag) so you can fully hold it like a real pipe.

Looks good though, saw someone using it. It's called a Janty Kuwako, not sure if there are others.

If I were you I'd get an ego vv battery and a kanger protank mini, also some decent juice such as pipe sauce, or maybe a ry4.

Although I haven't used the pipe you mention many more inexpensive pipes have an awful voltage drop as they are poorly made and after only a few drags off a full battery they loose performance.

If the vaping takes hold you can learn how to make your own coils (the element that hears the liquid) and buy a high end pipe and atomiser. People make the whole 'making your own coils thing sound difficult but it's really piss easy. Some of the stupidest people I've ever come across online are really good at it P-)

For the vaping like a lord experience I use a limelight mechanics pipe (battery holder) and a Kayfun mini atomiser. Pictured below.

I am kinda trapped a small bit as I don't have a credit card so buying online isn't really an option .

Well get a vv ego twist style battery and an evod / protank mini type bottom dual coiled atomiser, and some ry4 and maybe menthol juices.

Or give someone cash and use their credit card.

I'm liking this idea . I have seen the bowl in a shop but they are in Galway but I can get around that , what about the Tip is that a special attachment ?

Right , the more I look into this the more unsure I get . I think , after reading the reviews the 618 is a non runner . I found a Healthiersmoking shop here in town so I might just go in in the morning and get an ego-t like is suggested in the sticky . I met two friends today and both of them were using the ego firebird ? , and one said he had his for the last ten months or so . I still think I would like a pipe version but maybe that'll come down the road when /if I understand the whole thing better .

That's where the juice goes. There's a few different options, the best to start with is probably a clearomizer - easy to fill and maintain and you can replace the heating elements inside cheaply without having to throw away the whole thing. Most kits will come with a clearomizer rather than any other type.

You could get something like the MVP2 if your budget allows, they've got a great rep and if you're going to stick with it you'll probably end up getting something like it eventually.

Most if not all Irish vendors have them and you won't need to buy anything else except juice for a while. It's completely unlike a cigarette which can let you know you're doing something different and has a nice techy look and feel. There's a fair bit of electronics and build so good value for around €55 imo.

When I first started I spent €46 on a charger, a clearo, a variable voltage twist battery and some cheap juice. Don't know why he didn't recommended one of these, I probably wanted a cigarette shape tbh, but having recently changed to an electronic vv, they're just different gravy.

Went out for a drive today as far as Galway , called into EZsmoker on the way and picked up the sPipe mod with an Aspire CE5-S Clearomizer , two batteries a charger and 2 spare coils and some juice . Curious to see how this goes , not throwing out any of my cigarette paraphernalia yet . I am finding the Juice a bit sweet but I tried a juice in a Healthiersmoker shop the other day that I thought was really nice so I might go back in and get that .
