    Hi Folks,
I'm looking to get my hands on an active subwoofer to suit my Pioneer VSX 818x Receiver:
    http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...ers/VSX-818V-K

It's currently powering a approx 4 Jamo 6.5 CS (8 Ohm) ceiling speakers, something like these:
    http://www.soundpros.com/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=572

The room is a large open space area and is around 5x4 metres.
If I'm honest, I'm looling for something budget wise under €100, but still looks good to sit in the room!

As you can see in the image, the subwoofer pre-out appears to be one phono style connection.
What subwoofer/cable will take this connection?

    Thanks for your help,

    Cormac

    Kormak,

thanks for the post & apologies for the delay getting back to you - how about the excellent Yamaha YSTFSW050 subwoofer - coming in at just £75 / €92.99now and it would be an excellent match for your Pioneer 818 ..

Its a slimline sub so it will hide really easily in the room

Keep us posted if you would like to order or of course if we can assist in any way,

    Best regards,
