    Does indeed look like one. The marking on the back is very similar to that of the false widow.

    Can be pretty sore and can cause bad allergic reactions from what I've read.
    So depending on how fit you are in can be pretty bad to you.
    Some just get a rash and sore arm whereas others can leave you feeling pretty rough for few days

    Well being cannibals I doubt the parents are still alive with most females eating the males after sex and a lot of females give their body up to her young when born to feed on herself.
    Don't know if this applies to false widows
