    Hi all

A friend of mine purchased a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.4
I was looking over the car last night and noticed a sizeable pool of water under the spare wheel in the booth and the underside of the boot liner is soaked also.
Standing back a few feet from the car there seems a sizeable gap between the boot door lip and the top of the bumper also there are 4 hole visible along this gap.
Has anyone an idea or come across this before ?

    Bad crash repair maybe?

I had thought that, the interior of the booth seems fine, sealed along the edges etc, but then again im not an expert, however what i thought i noticed yesterday was a slight possible colour difference between the rear quearter panel and the bumper, would this be as a result of metal versus plastic being painted,it just caught my attention in the sunlight

Justb to clarify the gap on the booth lip,i checked on two other models yesterday evening and they have the same gap,but it does seem odd

Im not really familiar with he car so it was just a guess. Maybe there is a rubber seal missing?

Pictures would be ideal for the correct advice :)

Yup, rubber seal in the boot would be the culprit unless the rear lights are retaining water.

Boot door left open in rain and it didnt drain. Not likely to evap either because it's buried. Is the water stagnant? Musty smell? Check resevoir pipe for washer btl if any

I told her to dry out the booth and put it through a car wash last night and its full of water again.
The water was fresh and clean.

You could mix up a little food colour in a full watering can or bucket and pour it over the roof and back of the car. That way youl see the trail.make sure u give it a good clean when ur finishd
