One weeks rental in Malaga fro €32? Seems too good to be true, smaller rental conmpanies.

Has anyone used any of them?

There should be a company name returned with you search results, search here for that company before booking.
Be very careful if using a smaller company. On a personal note, do not use GoldCar Rental.

    Checkout Autoeurope and carhire3000 also.
    Should see the same prices.

I'll usually pay a little bit more to go with one of the main crowds like Sixt/Hertz etc.

I've been finding http://www.argusrentals.com/ cheapest lately, I was a fan of carhire3000 but argus is cheaper for the last few trips

After scouring review sites I found http://malagacar.com ... they're based off-airport but they'll pick us up and transfer us to the office for free

Have a facebook presence (https://www.facebook.com/malagacar) and from all user comments they seem pretty good

Use "HELLOFAN" to get a discount on certain classes of cars... I've got a 14 day rental for 85 euro (plus the usual petrol costs when I arrive)

Don't use Argus as you could well end up with GoldCar (as happened to me last year). The GoldCar rep actually told me "you *WILL* crash on the road.. so get insurance".. I told him where to stuff his insurance

A friend used malagacar and recommended them actually. All insurance and excesses covered except:

Damages to tyres, rims, hubcaps, side mirrors, windows, locks and the bottom of the vehicle. An additional insurance is available to cover the aforementioned damages at:
    Groups A, B, C, C1, D and D2. 5,85 € per day with a minimum of 23,40 € and a maximum of 69,29 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is € 2,45 €/ day.
Groups E0, E2, E3, BA, CA and DA. 8,50 € per day with a minimum of 34 € and a maximum of 120 € per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is € 4,25 €/ day.
    Groups D3, F, DB, DC, FA, GA, IA, JA, G, G1, G9, CC, M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7, M8 and M9. 12,15 € per day with a minimum of 49 € and a maximum of 170 €per 28 day rental period. For rentals of 29 days or more, the price is € 6 €/ day.
Groups “P” in general. Vehicles that are in any “P” group have an all risk insurance with a 2000 € excess. The additional insurance to cover the above mentioned damages and the excess is 20 € per day with a minimum of 80 € and a maximum of 560 € per 28 day rental period.
In the case of not taking out the insurance offered in the previous point, at the time of picking up the vehicle, Malagacar.com reserves the right to charge the same amount as the rental as a deposit - and a minimum of 200 € in case the rental amount is less than 200 € - which will be returned to the client at the end of the contract if the vehicle is returned in the same conditions. For “P” groups in general, a deposit of up to 2000 € is mandatory

Yeah most of them have that. My folks use Brunos based in Puerto de la Duquesa (http://www.brunoscar.com/), who are excellent with everything included (including petrol afaik), but a tad pricey.
