Buying out mobile contract

    Are there any mobile operators that will buy out your current contract ? I have over a year left in my meteor contract and wish to change. Would another company buy this from meteor inorder to get my business ?

    Never heard of such thing in Ireland.
    I've seen in US T Mobile is currently running this, but it's an expensive practice for a network.
