    Hi,
For higher level you need to have studied for the exam
    - A Play (e.g.Romeo and Juliet )
    - A Fiction Book ( Of Mice and Men
    - Poetry ( Pick 1 theme like war and do say 4 poems with 2 of them being from the same author)

Learn 6/7 quotes for each and thats all you need to know

There's no set texts for Junior Cert English. He can study any set of poems, novels and dramas he wishes. Have a look at past papers and try to pick one that's relative enough towards exam questions and one that has a good few resources available.

Private is a good fiction story on the list
For the play Romeo and Juliet
The poems Digging and Midterm Break by Seamus Heaney
