Portable Pump - 120psi?

Going on holiday next month and going to rent a bike this time rather than bring my own (too much hassle!). Looking for a portable pump that will inflate road tyres to 120psi - anyone have any experience of one that really works? The Topeak Mega Morph seems to get good online reviews but I'd love to hear from someone that's actually used one? Not looking for something to carry on the bike just small enough to go in my luggage!

Get a big enough bag and take your track pump?

I am in Spain and holiday, I brought a Chris Boardman....Got me to about 85psi, mate shipped a Aldi special from last week after he tested it, got me to about 100 with a bit of elbow grease but 100 is fine for the roads I am on. Aldi one is quite cool in that it has gauge and a low and high pressure setting.

For a fiver the Aldi one is a handy throw away after the holiday to free up some weight.

Topeak and Lenzye come out top if I remember right.

If bike comes with 25mm you'll get home with less than 120

Yep - I am thinking about that option too! But going again in October with the mountain bike and weight will be at a premium then so wouldn't mind buying something a bit lighter than the metal track pump!

    Have one. Very good.

    Some also recommend the lezyne

Both seen as being equally good - powerful (120 psi plus) and portable

Lezyne do a smaller/lighter track pump for travel. I have it on my birthday list as my current one is heavy and bulky.

How heavy is the bike/rider system? 120 psi is usually over-inflated.

I'm about 83kgs and will usually inflate tyres to their maximum suggested pressure - 120psi on Conti's and up to 140psi for some other makes! Maybe a bit harsher but I very rarely puncture!

I have a little Lezyne, fits in bottle case. Gets to 100 no problem.

Try 80 on the front and 100 on the back. You'll be suprised at the comfort.

I have the Lezyne Road Drive and my wife has the Lezyne pressure Drive. I've used both of them. Both of them tend to do well in reviews, with claims that they will get to 100psi "easily" (and some claims that you can get to 120psi too). Maybe if you have Popeye on hand to lend some of his ample arm strength, otherwise I think you'll struggle to get to 100psi with either of them. You'll certainly get close enough that the tyre is ride-able though.

I like both pumps, I think they are better than many alternatives, I've yet to encounter any compact pump that will get to 100psi "easily".
