I need to have a power-jack repaired on an Acer Aspire laptop. Browsing the net , the people above offer this at €75 inc return courier service. I cant see PC shops being cheaper and will be more interested in selling me a new one. Never heard of this company before - anybody here use them?
    Thanks

I used them for a screen replacement on a dell inspiron.
Worked out at €110 for a 15 inch screen the one hour service option I chose.

    No complaints.

Yes, I've used them at work - they were very good and reasonably priced.

Depending on your model, DC power jack could be €3 and easier than lego to replace.

If you got that price from just browsing the net, you would be better off finding out if they do a different price for your model.
Some need to be soldered on, some (Mostly newer models) just clip in.
Very different jobs and I doubt that they have one price.

It could be a 10 minute While-U-Wait job, or an hour/time to get to it/overnight job.

Look up the DC power jack for your model on ebay or google to get an image of it.

As with all jobs, I wouldn't assume that nobody could be cheaper. I would ring around and find out. Get quotes etc..

It may not even be the DC jack.

    Thanks all for the replies.
The website has a form to complete to get a quote for a specific model so I will complete that and take it from there

Have the same problem with an asus laptop, got an €85 quote incl courier service from this company.
What I liked is they say they reinforce the jack after repair as I see a lot of people have problems again with their jack again a few months after repair.

Did you give the job to them and how did it work out for you?
