    Hi,
When tendering a renovation job I need done for about 25k some quotes include "Contractors all risk insurance" and some don't. The ones that don't say they have standard insurance and All risk is not necessary. Should it make any difference to me if they have it on not. All are legit registered building companies.
    Thanks.

If the works are destroyed before they are handed back to you and the contractor says "I need you to pay me again to build them again because I don't have the money to" - will that be ok with you ?

Pretty standard really. Sounds like the guys who don't have it are a bit cheap and mean. Its only a few hundred euro in addition to PL and EL insurance. Every contractor should have it. We do;)
