While I didn't have the issue of the bulb warning light going on and off, I did have the dipped projector light connection melt on me. The lights run very hot and regularly blow, but one time the black plastic had melted mostly away. If there was any place where I would expect an issue, it would be there.

Check the centre console computer. It should give an error message if a bulb is blown/light faulty.

    Where would that be?

Above the radio in the car. There should be a small screen with the trip computer/radio information displayed on it
