Sky+HD New EPG issues or box

Hi folks

I'm having ongoing problems with my 1TB Sky+HD box since the new EPG update, every few hours the menu starts acting up,

some symptoms
1. selecting anything on the planner opens the program in FFx2, which cant be stopped or paused and seconds later stops at program end.
2. The main menu fails to update in TV Guide I can see the times across the top and the channel list down the left but no content,
3. when moving across the tabs under the mini screen the content below doesnt change.
4. Pressing <SKY> button doesn't turn the box on and pressing <On/Off> doesnt power on or place in standby

I've done a planner rebuild but problem still exists and pulling the plug is the only thing that works,which is going to play havoc with the HDD in time, is anyone else having this issue or is this another hardware issue, any solutions its driving me nuts

You could install the software again by doing a forced download

I wonder has all Samsung boxes been updated yet? My Samsung HD box still has the old EPG. Will a forced update change the EPG to the new one?

Yes with the initial version.

Not at the moment, refrain from doing a forced update until the new software is on the DR stream.

Your Samsung box should receive the new version which is being pushed out R009.066.84.00P over the next few weeks.
