    What is the difference between AMD A4, A8, and E1 Processors....

    The difference, beside L2 cache and frequency is the number of cores.

    A4 = 2 Cores
    A8 = 4 Cores
    E1 = 2 cores

    E1 would be also significantly lower frequency (slower, cheaper) than A4.

    Avoid E1 if you can. Really slow.

    Laptops with the E1 processor comply with the Federal Trade Comission's definition of a laptop, this allowing the product to be legally marketed as a laptop.

    That's about the nicest thing I can say about it.
