    Hi folks.
    Sorry I can't post links as new user...
    There is an ad for 2001 Fabia reg 01W2933 on Dondeal -Cork posted on 09/05.
    This same car appears on Dondeal Cork today 12/05 seemingly posted by a different individual showing a lot less milage
    There is a picture of speedometer on each ad which helps make the point.
    Buyer beware.

    What gets me is the fact that the ad with less miles is for a cheaper price. :confused:

    Old ad, 126k miles, €550
    New ad, 93k miles, €460.
    Shouldn't that work the other way round?

    Its a lemmon at both prices. Was probably driven in reverse for last 30k :)

    The advertiser has 4 vehicles currently on sale on Donedeal.
    Check using; "See all ads from this seller"
    A car trader in effect I would say.

    I reported both ads.

    As according to http://nmr.ie/car-clocking/, it doesnt seem illegal to change the odometer however it is illegal if you don't disclose it when selling the car, in this case, I wouldnt give the benefit of the doubt here.

    from Jan this year the law was updated and clocking of cars disclosed or other wise is illegal and criminal offense and should be reported to the Garda.
