So It's May, but I did make a new years resolution back then:

Run my first timed 5K or 10k race. To be followed later in the year with a second ...and improve by 10%.

So, Leixlip 5k, 3 May was ran: 24.06

I genuinely haven't a clue if this is good, bad or indifferent. But it is timed and is honest ( I didn't keep it slow to assist part 2).
I now only have to improve. Eeeek

Will update...much much later in the year !!

That's a few sec/km faster than me so I'd count it as quite good. I'm a beginner too and hoping to get much better times later in the year. 10% is a big improvement, best of luck with it.

Thanks for that. Only after getting a time am I now aware how big an improvement 10% is.
But, if I aim for 10 and get 5 - I still improve. So positives all round.

I'll still aim for 10% - just wish I'ld started the first stage earlier in year.
    We'll see !

    D..
