Nissan Almera 2002 - Speakers problem

    Hey,

I know the square root of f all about wiring and cars but I said I'd chance my arm here.

Basically the speakers in the doors and the back of my car are not outputting any sound, while the two small speakers in the front of the car are working. It's not a matter of settings within the stereo (radio) I've fiddled with them and it's nothing I can change with settings.

I've checked the back of the stereo and all the connections are going into the back of the stereo, nothing has come loose than I can see. I've also checked the fuse for audio beside the battery and that seems to be fine.

Can anyone explain what could possibly explain why some of the speakers are gone and the other small ones in the front are working grand?

You check the connections on the rear speakers themselves?

No I haven't, didn't have a lot of time with it, and looks to be a bit of a mission to get to the ones in the door and back of the car...

You'd probably want to make sure the radio end is good first so. There's not much you can do apart from check wires and connections visually unless you've a multimeter. You could try a different radio maybe if you've access to one.

Hey, I know I'm dredging up an old thread but it's still an issue. I've found out the radio itself is the problem, if I can find the stock radio elsewhere is there going to be issues installing it, I've read somewhere that there's a certain code I need to get it going...

Many factory installed radios will have codes, but provided the serial number of the radio (usually on a sticker on the side/rear) a main dealer should be able to tel you what the code is sometimes they charge a tenner for the courtesy...others wont.
