I want to coil non-cycling heifers which haven't bulled after being synced. How do I coil them? What approach should I take? Where can I get info on about this?

Don't panic ,get a vet to examine first or scan, there may be nothing wrong with them.they may not of come in heat from estrunate due to the stage of their cycle.

I asked the vet to look at them but he said it would probably be pointless as he can't tell much from looking at them and he would most likely just give them prostaglandin. Which they have gotten twice already from being synced. My logic that they are not cycling thus no response to prostaglandin so I am thinking the next step is coiling them.

    Of the 6 maiden heifers:
4 haven't shown signs of heat after syncing & AI - thinking of coiling them
2 have shown signs of heat after syncing & AI but - thinking of re-injecting with prostaglandin.

How often do you watch them for signs of heat?
