Do interviewers normally ask you about your references at the end of an interview ?

I had an interview today and I thought that it went well but they never asked about my references.

    Is this a bad sign :/ ?

No Matter how much training or instruction you'll still get lads going off script. It would be unusual.
But depends wha they were asking. Was it relating to the type if work you were doing to get the reference or what.

Do you mean what was the interviewer asking ?

All the questions related to the job/my previous experience.

I'm thinking that maybe it didn't go so well :o

I rarely if ever ask for references. In saying that, the last 4 guys I interviewed, each of them had worked with different people knew so I was able to do a quiet check that way.

Not asking about references doesn't necessary mean it went badly. Good luck in your job hunt :)

I've never been asked for references at an interview. I just got a new job and they didn't ask for any references at all, just confirmed my employment dates at my current company with HR.

I've never been questioned about references in an interview either. They have made contact subsequently in some cases but in the interview the subject was never broached. Unless your interviewer knows the referee(s) in question I can't see why it would be.
