    Hey,

Relatively new to running and doing a half marathon in a couple of weeks. I have done under 20 for 5k and under 43 for 10k, but have no idea what i should be aiming for in a half marathon. I have done training runs in 1hr 50min, which were okay until the last mile, when struggled a bit. Is it far too optimistic to try run under 1hr 40min? I fell like i haven't done enough long runs, not following any plan or anything. any ideas from experience?

Nah go for it. Run the first 3 miles at 10 secs slower a mile and last 3 at 10 secs faster a mile and you should be grand. Taper into it without doing too much the week before.

Take the first half nice and handy and you should be fine.
